Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Dent ED Online. By creating an account, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Course Enrollment

  • Eligibility: Our courses are intended for licensed dental professionals. You must provide valid credentials. An active license is required to enroll in any of the state-specific certification courses. Pending license numbers are not permitted.
  • In-person Sessions: If a course includes an in-person session, you must complete all online activities and assessments prior to the assigned date.
  • Attendance: Attendance is required to complete hybrid courses that include an in-person session. Students are expected to arrive on time, attend the entire session, and be deemed clinically competent by the instructor for course completion.
  • Student Partners: Some courses may require you to participate as a patient for your student partner. If student partners are used in a course, it will be stated in the course FAQ. Reach out to your instructor if you are unable to participate as a patient. You will be responsible for finding a qualified patient to participate on your behalf.

2. Course Completion

  • Online Learning Activities and Lesson Tests: All online learning activities and lesson tests must be completed prior to taking the final exam for each course. If all online learning activities and/or lesson tests are not completed, you will not be able to complete the course. If the course includes an in-person session, you will not be able to attend the session if the online portion of the course is not completed. You will be required to attend a different in-person session at a later date. A need to reschedule due to incomplete online learning activities and/or tests will require a re-enrollment fee.
  • Final Written Examinations: Each course includes a final examination. The passing grade and number of allowed attempts is posted in each course. The final examination may take place online or in-person depending on the course. The final examination must be passed to complete the course. If a final written examination is not passed within the number of allowed attempts, you will be required to purchase and re-take the course.
  • Clinical Competency: If the course includes an in-person session with hands-on labs, you must be deemed clinically competent by the instructor to complete the course. If you are deemed unsafe or not adequately competent for the clinical portion of the course, you will be required to retake the clinical portion of the course for an additional fee.

3. Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change. Please review our refund policy carefully before enrolling in a course.

Full Refund (Minus Processing Fee)
You are eligible for a full refund minus a 10% processing fee if you meet all of the following conditions:
  • You request cancellation within 30 days of your original enrollment date, and
  • You have not started the course by completing any lessons, and
  • If your course includes an in-person session, you must cancel more than 14 days prior to the scheduled in-person date.

Courses with In-Person Sessions (Hybrid Courses)
Refunds for hybrid courses depend on how close to the in-person session you cancel:
  • If you cancel more than 14 days before the scheduled in-person session, you may request a full refund minus a 10% processing fee, as long as you meet the eligibility criteria above.
  • If you cancel 14 days or fewer before the in-person session, you are eligible for a 50% refund, regardless of your course progress.
  • If the in-person session has already taken place, no refund will be issued, regardless of your progress or enrollment date.

Refunds After Starting the Course (Any Course Type)
If you begin a course by completing any lessons, but later decide not to continue, you may request a 50% refund, as long as:
  • Your request is made within 30 days of your original enrollment date, and
  • The in-person session (if applicable) has not yet occurred.

No Refunds After In-Person Session or 30 days
  • For hybrid courses, refunds will not be issued once the in-person session has taken place, regardless of your enrollment date or course progress.
  • For 100% online courses, refunds will not be issued if you request cancellation more than 30 days after your enrollment date, regardless of whether you started or completed the course.
